The hypothesis has therefore been proposed that oxytocin administered in nasal form could relieve the symptoms of long-COVID. We must then remember that it is not really the person who has this effect on us, but the oxytocin. (For more information, see <a href=\"https:\/\/caliact.com\/en\/cuddletherapy-calia\/#limites\">the limits of Cuddle Therapy<\/a>.)<\/li>\n<li>&#8230;lead to a drop in oxytocin&#8230;<\/li><\/ul><\/h3>\n<h3 class=\"center white\">An oxytocin drop <span class=\"typcn typcn-arrow-down-outline rotation315\"><\/span> might\u2026<\/h3>\n<ul class=\"list18 list18none list18disc white\" style=\"margin-left:10%; margin-right:10%;\">\n<li>&#8230;in some people, in the 1 to 3 days following an oxytocin high, there may be a drop in oxytocin characterized by a feeling of isolation, depression, lack of affection, lack of energy, etc. (See the next section to discover different <a href=\"#strategies\">strategies<\/a> to combat a lack or drop in oxytocin.)<\/li><\/ul><\/div>\n<span class=\"anchor\" id=\"strategies\"><\/span>\n<div class=\"long\">\n<h2>Different oxytocin management strategies<\/h2>\n<hr>\n<p>Before anything else, it\u2019s important to keep in mind that an oxytocin drop is only <strong>temporary<\/strong> and should last no more than a few hours to a few days at most. So if you ever find yourself experiencing an oxytocin drop after a cuddling session, remember that these unpleasant, low feelings are only temporary.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s also important to return to <strong>basic self-care<\/strong>\u2014that is, eating well, staying hydrated, exercising, getting enough rest, and going outside for some sunshine and fresh air (not necessarily in that order). It\u2019s even more important that you take good care of yourself.<\/p>\n<p>Then, among the different strategies for managing oxytocin levels, some aim to boost oxytocin through physical contact, while others focus on increasing other \u201cfeel-good\u201d hormones. Ideally, you want to support those other hormones <strong>before<\/strong> an oxytocin drop occurs, allowing you to maintain a more comfortable emotional balance.
